Brunel is recruiting Sales Operations Specialist to work for initially 1 year contract in Houston, TX
This is a junior-level role (3-5 years of experience). Candidates with less experience may also be considered if they are self-starters with technical inclination and a strong interest in high performance.
The Sales Operations Specialist ensures the accurate execution of commercial contracts. This includes understanding and recording sales and distribution activities, maintaining systems, reviewing credit, processing documentation, preparing invoices, managing collections, and creating reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.
  • Validate compliance with supply chain management processes and capture related transactional data in the Aspect system.
  • Review and request updates to Aspect and other Master Data as needed.
  • Understand contractual terms and agreements and accurately translate them into system transactions.
  • Apply knowledge of International Chamber of Commerce Incoterms and transportation/logistics terms.
  • Administer and maintain all logistics actions in systems, including performance reporting.
  • Prepare invoices, obtain Marketing Manager approvals as needed, and submit required documentation to customers.
  • Liaise and coordinate with customers, team members, and commercial staff regarding allocation, loading, and movement of materials to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Monitor material movements within the logistics chain and communicate progress or issues to stakeholders.
  • Ensure accountability for internal and external audits, internal accounting and process controls, and SOX controls.
  • Monitor and coordinate Accounts Receivables/Payables for respective external counterparties.
  • Coordinate and optimize trade finance documentation flow with banks and customers.
  • Regularly review credit positions and contract status to minimize commercial risk.
  • Liaise with the governance team to ensure compliance with relevant laws in various jurisdictions.
  • Assist with projects as needed.
  • Provide assistance to team members and act as backup in their absence.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Technical Competencies:
  • Medium vocational education with 3-5 years of experience in logistics, or a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Accounting with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Experience in the energy industry is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Computer literate.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
