SUMMARY: The Environmental Specialist - Waste is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive waste management program. This includes making waste determinations, ensuring wastes and used oil are properly managed onsite, approving off-site treatment, disposal, and recycling facilities, scheduling waste transfers, fulfilling required record-keeping and reporting to regulatory agencies, and training staff to respond to waste emergencies and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
