Brunel is currently searching for a Wellfield Operations Superintendent, for our mining client located in Florence, Arizona.
About the Opportunity:We're seeking an experienced Wellfield Operations Superintendent to lead field operations, maintenance planning, and control room activities at the core of an innovative in-situ mining project. This is a high-impact leadership role, driving safety, reliability, and performance in a forward-thinking operation that emphasizes environmental responsibility and operational excellence.
Duties:
* Lead the execution of wellfield production goals, including pumping, piping, and infrastructure performance.* Develop and enforce preventative maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
* Direct all shutdown planning and coordinate maintenance activities to meet safety, cost, and scheduling objectives.* Maintain and refine KPIs for resource and personnel planning.
* Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Geology to optimize performance and align evolving wellfield configurations.* Manage field equipment availability and procurement needs.
* Oversee contractors, scheduling conflicts, and personnel challenges with strong leadership and problem-solving.* Contribute to budgeting, performance reporting, and continuous operational improvements.
* This role will have two direct reports: Operations Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor.
Work Environment:
* Must be comfortable lifting/carrying tools and equipment (50+ lbs).* Work in varied weather conditions for extended periods.
* Commitment to strict health and safety standards.
Requirements:* Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Mining, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
* 10+ years in industrial maintenance or operations (mining/in-situ recovery experience highly desirable), including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.* Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and control systems.
* Mechanical/electrical maintenance skills; CMMS familiarity a plus.* Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical systems a bonus.
* Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; database or GIS experience preferred.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.* MUST be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without the need for sponsorship.
