Introduction

The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety programs and procedures to promote a safe working environment. This role will involve conducting regular inspections, identifying potential hazards, and developing strategies to mitigate risks. Will also be required to provide safety training to employees, investigate accidents or incidents, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards

What are you going to do

Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, procedures, and regulations on site
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all work areas
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions for all personnel
Collaborate with supervisors and contractors to ensure safe work practices
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
Support emergency response preparedness and drills
Assist in the implementation of safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives
Act as a key liaison with local regulatory bodies and inspectors as required

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
Proven experience as a Safety Supervisor or similar role
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
