Brunel has partnered with a premier LNG owner/operator and actively recruiting for an Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer to support their world-scale LNG project under construction in Texas on a long-term contract basis.

What are you going to do 

As an I&E Engineer, you'll be a key technical presence in the field, ensuring flawless execution of complex instrumentation and electrical systems. You'll work alongside EPC contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams to uphold safety, quality, and performance standards on one of North America's most ambitious LNG projects.

  • Oversee construction of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical installations - from conduit routing to loop checks and SATs.
  • Collaborate with EPC contractors, QA/QC, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry codes, and safety requirements.
  • Review I&E work packs, drawings, datasheets, and test procedures for constructability and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, support pre-commissioning, and ensure smooth handover to commissioning teams.
  • Participate in inspections, punch list resolution, and system walkdowns.
  • Monitor construction progress and resource alignment, reporting to project leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to standards such as NFPA, NEC, API, IEC, and internal project specifications.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 5-10+ years of I&E construction experience in LNG, petrochemical, or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Expertise in industrial instrumentation, BPCS/SIS/FGS systems, and field installations.
  • Experience with SATs, loop testing, calibration, hazardous area installations, and code compliance.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
  • TWIC eligibility required
