What are you going to do

Brunel is recruiting Field Operators to work for initially 1 year contract in Midland, TX. Operate equipment and wells by applying operational and safety procedures to meet the daily plan, minimize equipment failures, and ensure efficient use of resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily work objectives, housekeeping, and follow safety, health, environmental, and security procedures.
  • Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regular safety meetings.
  • Monitor wells and equipment continuously to identify corrective and optimization actions that ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operations.
  • Perform simple maintenance activities as Equipment Care Technician.
  • Report any issues when alarm, emergency, or shutdown systems are out of service.
  • Provide detailed and accurate shift-change information to ensure operational continuity.
  • Coordinate and monitor maintenance jobs according to corrective, predictive, and preventive plans.
  • Maintain a detailed logbook of all relevant operational events, abnormalities, or deviations.
  • Collect product samples for lab analysis and perform field laboratory tests.
  • Participate in emergency response activities.
  • Report incidents according to company Incident Reporting Guidelines.
  • Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed of all activities.
  • Maintain clear communication within the team to address issues and actions efficiently.
  • Provide information on well conditions, production rates, and operational problems.
  • Conduct thorough well diagnostics before requesting Well Work intervention operations.
  • Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are maintained and in good condition prior to intervention operations.
  • Support ongoing Well Work operations as required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Skills:

  • Completed secondary education and previous experience as a Field Technician.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of pipeline operations.
  • Familiarity with safety and operations management tools and processes.
  • Strong understanding of emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Knowledge of project philosophy and design specifications.
  • Awareness of relevant regulations and commercial agreements.
