Introduction

This position supports the financial management of a significant road restoration initiative in regional NSW. The project aims to rebuild critical transport infrastructure damaged by drought, bushfires, and flooding. As part of a project management consultancy, you'll provide essential financial expertise to help deliver this vital community asset on time and budget.

What are you going to do

Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes for the project
Operate and support financial systems including TechnologyOne and reporting tools
Coordinate financial claims and reporting with government funding bodies
Liaise with project management, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records
Assist with financial system upgrades, troubleshooting, and training for project staff
Prepare regular financial status reports and support risk and performance monitoring
Support overall financial governance aligned with project and client requirements

Essential skills and knowledge

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or relevant experience
Experience in corporate financial systems and project accounting
Strong skills in budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within consultancy teams
Good communication and negotiation skills
Current driver's license
Experience with TechnologyOne or similar ERP systems preferred
Knowledge of government funding and Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements desirable
Postgraduate qualifications or professional memberships (CPA, CA, IPA) advantageous
