Introduction

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in the rural Manhattan, KS area. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of driving operational excellence and guiding teams through periods of change and growth.

What are you going to do 

  • Promote and maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Develop and execute operational plans to achieve business goals and strategic objectives.
  • Lead weekly production and Sales Execution meetings to align on delivery targets.
  • Drive daily plant performance to meet quality, safety, cost, and delivery metrics.
  • Oversee all aspects of production, inventory, raw materials, and shipping.
  • Provide coaching and direction to management and supervisory staff.
  • Implement and sustain the company's Business Operating System.
  • Lead Lean, OPEX, and process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Build strong employee relations and address workplace concerns effectively.
  • Manage plant budgets, track performance, and adjust forecasts as needed.
  • Ensure project performance aligns with IFRS and revenue recognition standards.
  • Uphold the organization's Code of Business Ethics.
  • Represent the plant in executive meetings and operations reviews.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, reporting, and financial policy alignment.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to improve operations and meet performance targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Commerce, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in senior production or operations leadership, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Analytical thinker with strong business acumen and a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
