Introduction

To provide hands-on mechanical support for preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities across Company's manufacturing assets. This role requires seasoned technical expertise to assist senior technicians and engineers in maintaining equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with Company's operational standards.

What are you going to do

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Support & Execution

  • Assist in the execution of mechanical maintenance tasks including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reassembly of rotating and static equipment.

  • Support troubleshooting activities for pumps, compressors, valves, piping systems, and other mechanical assets.

  • Perform basic machining, fitting, and alignment tasks under supervision or independently when required.

  • Assist in equipment isolation and preparation for maintenance in accordance with Company's safety protocols.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance routines and emergency corrective actions.

  • Support shutdown and turnaround activities, including equipment preparation, bolt tightening, gasket replacement, and leak checks.

  • Ensure proper use of tools, lifting equipment, and maintenance consumables.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Record maintenance activities in logbooks or digital systems as per Company's documentation standards.

  • Ensure all work complies with Company's HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) policies and standards where applicable.

  • Report any equipment abnormalities, safety hazards, or non-conformities to supervisors promptly.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with senior technicians, engineers, and other support teams to ensure smooth execution of maintenance tasks.

  • Provide mentoring or guidance to junior helpers or apprentices when needed.

  • Participate in toolbox meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.

  • Technical diploma or vocational certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and safety procedures.

  • Familiarity with Company's maintenance systems is an advantage.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret technical instructions.

  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English proficiency preferred.
