Introduction

  • Manage and oversee the construction activities performed by the contractor and sub-contractors, ensuring safe execution of the project within the approved project budget and schedule.
  • Drive construction readiness and execution to meet project objectives and support flawless facility start-up.

What are you going to do

  • Ensure incident-free operations through continuous monitoring and leadership engagement.
  • Assess project progress and take corrective actions to mitigate delays and cost overruns.
  • Oversee and motivate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.
  • Approve and reject construction methodologies, work packs, lifting plans, and site procedures.
  • Manage resource allocation, productivity, and construction sequencing.
  • Manage and resolve construction constraints and interface issues.
  • Ensure timely completion of milestones and project deliverables.
  • Give guidance on progress reports, manpower deployment, and productivity metrics. Manage construction costs and progress against approved baselines.
  • Plan and guide recovery planning and schedule optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
  • Minimum of 12-years' experience with large projects in construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3-years of management level experience in construction related disciplines, engineering, or project management with overall responsibility for an EPC execution.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Good organizational, planning, communication, and execution skills.
  • Well-developed coordination and planning skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with several organizational levels
