Introduction
- Manage all construction activities pertaining to the assigned scope of works (Process) for the Onplot from participation in detailed engineering through to construction activities at Site to hand over to the Completion Team in accordance with the Completion Sequence.
- Ensure close control of the schedule and key Project and Progress Milestones
What are you going to do
- Review and approve Construction Execution and related procedures, specifications, deliverables and progress reporting prepared by the contractor.
- Undertake complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance to the team and stakeholders by bring solutions and provide support but not generate "micro-management" or unnecessary works to the team and/or the contractor.
- Identify problems quickly and determine root causes and develop plans to mitigate or resolve them.
- Utilize a systematic approach to problem solving that ensures accuracy, timeliness and quality of documentation that supports the resolution.
- Bring technical and execution solutions that favour a safe, but flawless construction execution and transition to commissioning activities.
- Organize and drive efforts of the team and stakeholders to achieve Project objectives.
- Work effectively within established procedures and participate in all important meetings and workshops (e.g., weekly and monthly meetings, 3D Model reviews, Constructability, Traffic and Completion Reviews).
- Guide construction efforts of 5-10,000 workers during construction activities at sites work in a large fully integrated but complex project environment in which the incumbent strives to achieve best in class Safety, Health, Environmental & Security performances by creating a culture that encourages everyone to perform their best every day on every task.
- Ensure knowledge sharing by capturing and communicating lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering.
- 12 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction-related disciplines (e.g. construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 years of management level experience in Construction-related disciplines, engineering, or project management with overall responsibility for an execution.
- Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
- Broad and extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.
- Extensive knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
- Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects,
- Proven track record of Project delivery in the industry and managing contractors and sub-contractors.
- Excellent track record in construction safety results.
- Proven experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodology and systems completion management and associated databases.
- Requires to be inventive on construction execution and methods, bring experience from other large and complex projects, in particular LNG Plants.
