Introduction

Brunel is currently searching for a Project Engineer II for direct hire with our mining client located in Phoenix, Arizona.

What are you going to do

This role will be based in Phoenix area as a hybrid role requiring some on-site presence at locations throughout Arizona mine site locations.

In this role you will provide technical expertise, guidance and leadership for a variety of designated engineering projects and programs at the assigned site.

  • Duties:

    • Review, investigate and develop recommendations for engineering projects.
    • Serves as technical expert on a wide range of small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects.
    • Responsible for evaluating and administering vendor contracts for services and equipment.
    • Provides guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated engineering areas.
    • Represent the site on company-sponsored steering teams as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
  • 3 years of engineering experience relevant to assignment (OR Master's degree with 2 years.)
  • Knowledge of principles and project engineering and project management
  • Demonstrate technical competence through engineering and/or operations experience
  • Proficient in MS Office and other engineering tools (CAD, analytical, mapping)
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
