Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Contracts Specialist to join a leading global organisation at their Pinjarra operations. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of procurement and contracting activities, supporting business objectives and driving value through supplier relationships, cost optimisation, and effective contract management.

About this role

As a Procurement & Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting procurement and contracting strategies across a broad portfolio.
  • Gathering and analysing data, market intelligence, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Developing and executing contracts up to $1M in value, including negotiation, risk mitigation, and performance monitoring.
  • Driving competitive sourcing activities such as tenders, eAuctions, and other commercial tools.
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensuring supplier performance meets agreed outcomes, resolving disputes, and implementing corrective actions when required.
  • Promoting alignment with global procurement initiatives while supporting local business needs.
  • Exploring opportunities to engage and grow relationships with local suppliers.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Maintenance, HR, IT, and Finance to achieve operational objectives.

Is this you?

You will bring a combination of technical procurement expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management or Finance.
  • 3-5 years' experience in procurement or commercial roles, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies and negotiate commercial contracts.
  • Strong relationship management, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure.
  • Understanding of commercial and business issues in supplier and customer relationships.
