About this role

As a key team member reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide expert input into the design and installation of efficient irrigation systems.

  • Program, operate, and manage automated irrigation control systems to optimize water usage.

  • Monitor water allocations, account balances, and usage requirements across multiple users.

  • Coordinate water delivery through suppliers and infrastructure to ensure timely and accurate distribution.

  • Advise orchard managers on irrigation strategies to meet crop requirements and maximize productivity.

  • Identify team training needs and manage performance to ensure high standards are maintained.

  • Foster strong, collaborative working relationships across teams and stakeholders.

  • Lead by example by promoting safe, accurate work practices and reinforcing company policies and procedures.

Is this you?

  • Proven experience in the operation and management of pressurized irrigation systems.

  • Strong proficiency in automated irrigation technologies and systems.

  • Hands-on experience working with tree crops, ideally in a commercial or production setting.

  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver outcomes effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
