Introduction

On behalf of our client, a World Leading Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a HSE Specialist - Emergency Management based in the Corporate CBD office. The position provides field execution of emergency management processes and safeguards across the Australian Business. This will be a 2 year contract working a Compressed Working Week.

About this role

  • Provide technical expertise, strategies, and operational guidance to strengthen Emergency performance and capability. Supports Crisis Management, Emergency Response, Oil Spill and Business Continuity
  • Assist Field Teams in maintaining EM processes and safeguards
  • The role will be required to regular site travel site locations including leave coverage (min 8-10 weeks / year)
  • Providing HSE advice and guidance to OE Leadership and Execution Teams with a strong focus on practical application of Workforce Safety and Health and Environmental compliance
  • Undertaking safeguard assurance verification and validation activities for Emergency Management
  • Building productive working relationships across HSE, Australia and Asset Leadership, Business Partners and other support teams to facilitate alignment and execution efficiency of HSE activities and processes

Is this you?

  • Demonstrated practical application of emergency management process requirements and relevant Australian HSE legislation (Safety and Environment)
  • Practical understanding of OE management system and Human and Organisational (HOP) concepts, to support fatality and serious incident prevention efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build respectful and trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders including site leaders and the broader workforce including frontline personnel and business partners to streamline and standardise Emergency Management execution in Australia
  • Demonstrated ability to be a visible HSE professional that adjusts communication styles to influence improvements in fatality and serious incident prevention efforts
