Introduction
About this role
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for volume and custom homes, including materials, labour, and subcontractors.
- Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and client inclusions to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
- Liaise with internal teams (sales, drafting, construction) and external suppliers/subcontractors for pricing and updates.
- Generate BOQs, material take-offs, and variations using estimating software (e.g. Databuild, Onsite Companion, Bluebeam).
- Identify potential cost risks and offer value engineering or design alternatives when required.
- Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and ensure all estimates align with company procedures and industry standards.
Is this you?
- Over 3+ years' experience as an Estimator, preffered residential construction
- Experienced to both production and sales estimating
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and cost control
- Able to interpret drawings, plans, and specifications accurately
- Great attention to detail and time management skills
- Experience using Databuild, Onsite Companion, or Bluebeam preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork mindset
