Introduction

On behalf of our client - Woodside Energy, a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Senior Estimator to support its Capital Projects portfolio. This will be a 12 month contract ocated at their Corporate Perth CBD office.

About this role

You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely cost estimates across various phases of project development, from concept through execution. This role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and Engineering Teams to ensure robust and competitive estimates that align with Company's strategic objectives.

  • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for complex Oil & Gas, Energy Transition and Infrastructure projects
  • Interpret Engineering drawings, specifications and scope documents to develop comprehensive estimates
  • Build solid relationships with key stakeholders
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and validate cost assumptions
  • Develop and maintain estimating tools, databases, and benchmarking metrics
  • Participate in tender reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering workshops
  • Provide input into project budgets, forecasts, and cost control strategies
  • Support bid evaluations and contract negotiations with commercial insights
  • Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Company's estimating standards, governance and reporting protocols

Is this you?

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline OR experience
  • Previous experience in estimating within the Oil & Gas or heavy industrial industry sectors
  • Proven track record in delivering estimates for large-scale EPC or brownfield projects
  • Proficiency in estimating software - Cleopatra, Safran, SAP, MS Excel
  • Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills
  • Proven experience in facilitating and conducting risk modelling workshops
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and Woodside offices as required
