Are you a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or Auto Electrcian looking for your next challenge on a premier mining operation? Our client, a leading name in the resources sector, is seeking experienced and safety-driven HD Fitters & Auto Electrcians to join their high-performing maintenance team.

About this role

You will be a key member of the site-based maintenance team, responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a massive fleet of heavy mining equipment. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will be critical to achieving peak site performance and availability.

For our Heavy Duty Diesel Fitters, key responsibilities include:

  • Performing scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy mining equipment including Haul Trucks, Scrapers, Excavators, Dozers, Loaders and Various other mine equipment

  • Conducting diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component changes/rebuilds (engines, transmissions, final drives, hydraulics).

  • Accurately completing job cards and service reports in our computerized maintenance management system

For our Auto Electricians, key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical, electronic, and instrumentation systems on heavy mobile equipment.

  • Troubleshooting complex faults on machine monitoring systems, engine and transmission management systems, and HV/LV electrical circuits.

  • Installing, testing, and commissioning new electrical systems and components.

  • Working closely with mechanical fitters to ensure seamless repairs and high machine availability.

Is this you?

  • Australian Recognised Trade Qualification as either a:

    • Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter (Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent), OR

    • Auto Electrician (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent).

  • Proven post-trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment, preferably within a mining or heavy industry environment.

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with a focus on quality workmanship.

  • An unwavering commitment to safety - a proactive mindset where you always "STOP and THINK."

  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

  • Current Driver's Licence.

  • Coal Board medical and S11 (desirable).
