Machinery Specialist V - Lubes & Rotating Parts
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the site lubrication strategy (oil selection, change/sweetening, labeling, reservoir and filter maintenance, sample points, etc.).
Define lubrication routes, frequency, sample/reporting procedures.
Monitor oil condition through sampling (e.g., wear metals, contamination, water content) and manage responses (change, rejuvenate, etc.).
Establish predictive and condition-based monitoring routes; set alarm/alert thresholds.
Collect and interpret vibration data (spectrum, phase, time waveform, orbits, etc.).
Identify early signs of mechanical issues (bearing wear, shaft misalignment, imbalance, looseness, etc.).
Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) when required.
Work with rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, gearboxes, drivers, seal systems, etc.
Define performance criteria vs actual, identify "bad actors," recommend improvements or modifications.
Participate in or lead reliability improvement projects (upgrades, retrofits, supplier / OEM oversight).
Act as technical liaison among Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and possibly Reliability teams.
Support Maintenance planners / supervisors with scope of work, job plans, spare parts definition.
Ensure alignment of reliability goals, technical standards, and best practices across site.
