Maintenance Manager - LNG Plant (12-Month Renewable Contract, based in Milan)

Lead and manage all maintenance activities across subsea systems, LNG trains, utilities, storage, loading, and offsite facilities.
Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and technical integrity of plant equipment.
Demonstrate strong safety leadership and ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and ISO 14001 environmental standards.
Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, safety audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring quality control and adherence to schedules.
Provide technical expertise to resolve complex operational issues and conduct root cause analysis to improve reliability.
Coordinate short-, mid-, and long-term maintenance planning, including major overhauls, with operations and business teams.
Prepare and manage manpower, material, contract, operating, and capital budgets.
Monitor maintenance costs, man-hours, spare parts, and consumables; recommend Opex and Capex improvements.
Ensure CMMS reporting of maintenance activities and review preventive maintenance strategies.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, documentation control, and procedure validation.
Lead, develop, and manage a large maintenance workforce, including training plans, objective setting, and performance reviews.
Master's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Rotating, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
Minimum 20 years' maintenance experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries.
Minimum 10 years in senior maintenance leadership roles.
Minimum 10 years' experience in LNG producing plants (not terminals).
Proven experience managing large teams (150+ personnel).
Strong expertise in LNG and oil & gas equipment maintenance and repair methodologies.
Experience with industrial gas turbines (e.g., GE Frame 7, Siemens SGT800), large rotating equipment, compressors, pumps, expanders, LNG loading systems, and hydraulics.
Knowledge of international instrumented safety systems and electrical safety standards (including ATEX/Ex).
Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards.
Experience using SAP or equivalent CMMS systems and strong IT capability.
Excellent written and spoken English.
