Position Summary

The TSP Procurement Specialist provides strategic sourcing and category management leadership to support the enterprise procurement objectives. The role focuses on optimizing total cost of ownership, driving supplier performance, and ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality materials and services that meet operational and construction project requirements. This position operates as a key business partner to internal stakeholders and supports the development and deployment of enterprise-wide category strategies

What are you going to do

  • Develop and execute category strategies that generate cost savings, enhance quality, and ensure reliable service levels.

  • Lead sourcing events including bid document creation, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.

  • Manage spend for assigned categories, determine sourcing plans, and ensure adherence to procurement governance.

  • Provide procurement subject matter expertise to business teams and support operational decision-making.

  • Track and analyze market intelligence, supplier performance data, and risk indicators.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define demand forecasts, specifications, and service expectations.

  • Support Supplier Relationship Management programs including performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic sourcing projects and process improvements.

  • Conduct cost benefit and total cost of ownership analyses to support recommendations.

  • Promote standardization of procurement processes, compliance, and Responsible Care principles.

  • Contribute to change management efforts to enable adoption of new procurement practices and strategy.

  • Communicate risks, opportunities, and contracting strategies to leadership and project teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency with SAP-ARIBA, e-sourcing systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to build and influence strong internal and external relationships under demanding timelines.

  • Supplier performance oversight experience with focus on safety and compliance.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in spend analytics and cost modeling.

  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, PMP, or CSCMP considered an asset.

  • Understanding of logistics concepts including Incoterms and cross-border work arrangements.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related discipline with 5+ years of progressive procurement experience, or 10+ years combined education and relevant experience.

  • Proven experience in the procurement of materials and services in a manufacturing and construction environment.

  • Background in one or more key categories including:MRO, Capital Equipment, Construction and Maintenance Services, Professional Services.

  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and project leadership capabilities.
