Introduction

  • Shall be thoroughly familiar, have in depth experience and competent to maintain Infrastructure Telecom systems;
  • To manage on a day-to-day basis the effective operation of the Infrastructure Telecom System;
  • Shall be capable to perform Preventive and Corrective maintenance of Infrastructure Telecom systems;
  • Shall be able to perform assigned recurring / process controls based on the risk assessments these include log monitoring, system scan for antivirus and DAT updates, vulnerability patching, taking system application and OS backups, including event log and configuration backups for Infrastructure Telecom systems;
  • Shall be able to independently prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s), raise and get approved work permits and provide required support and assistance in raising eMOC’s, Risk Analysis report, Incident report etc.

What are you going to do 

  • Shall have effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills in the English;
  • Shall be computer literate and conversant with basic Microsoft office applications;
  • Shall be able to read and interpret Infrastructure system drawings;
  • Know how the use of computer-based permit to work system workflows would be preferred;
  • Troubleshooting, fault analyzing, Installation, Configuring, and repairs skills are required;
  • Identifying the root cause of problems and taking steps to prevent a reoccurrence of incidents;
  • Generate weekly incident or assigned task reports;
  • The ability to use and operate a personal computer, digital multimeter, OTDR test set and other tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and operation of Infrastructure Telecom systems.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience out of which at least 2 years should have been in an oil and gas industry with hands on experience in maintenance of plant Infrastructure Cabling system (Fiber and Copper), Field Telephones, Hotlines, Cisco IP Telephony & Collaboration System, AV System, SSL System, OTN / DWDM System etc;
  • Diploma in Electronics / Computer Engineering from a reputed University or recognized equivalent to a minimum;
  • Having training & certification in Infrastructure cabling system (Cable testing / Splicing), Cisco Unified Communication System and OTN System would be preferable.
