1. Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering with at least 15 years in Oil & Gas, including 10 years in telecom commissioning for onshore/offshore facilities and proven FEED/EPIC experience to review/approve contractor deliverables and manage commissioning from engineering to handover. 2. Strong technical expertise in offshore telecom systems (CCTV, UHF/VHF, PA/GA, IP telephony, telemetry, AIS, ACS, structured cabling, network management systems).
3. Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute pre commissioning and commissioning, lead multi cultural teams, and resolve technical issues under pressure. 4. Excellent knowledge of industry standards, HSE compliance, risk management (HAZID, SIMOPS), and offshore survival certification (BOSIET/FOET + CA EBS preferred).
5. Exceptional communication, leadership, and documentation skills, including proficiency in IT tools and the ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within cost. 6. For the 132 kV scope: HV competency and certifications-e.g., City & Guilds accredited HV AP/SAP switching authorization, documented NFPA 70E/OSHA arc flash training and PPE, and familiarity with IEC 60840 test/commissioning requirements for 132 kV extruded HV cable systems (continuity, insulation resistance, HiPOT, sheath tests, accessories); Also familiarity in fiber optic attenuation testing; proficiency in commissioning software and documentation tools.
