Introduction

We are currently hiring a Senior Power Electronics Engineer for a sustainable-focused organization that stands at the forefront of the water management industry. This role entails contributing to the development of new power converters and the enhancement of existing ones. Collaboration with our hardware and software teams will be integral to ensure the creation of high-performance products.

What are you going to do

  • Design power electronic circuits (e.g., AC/DC, DC/AC converters) from scratch, not off-the-shelf solutions.
  • Develop and simulate analog/digital circuits, including control algorithms for power systems.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to translate control logic into C code.
  • Oversee the full development cycle - from concept, prototyping, PCB design, to guiding mass production.
  • Assist PCB layout engineers (artworkers) by defining:
    • Proper component placement
    • Thermal management considerations
    • EMI, current, and frequency constraints
    • Routing guidance (especially for high-power systems)

Essential skills and knowledge

  • PhD or Master's degree in Power Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in power electronics and control algorithms within an industrial setting
  • Hands-on experience in power electronic circuit design, analysis, and simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink
  • Deep understanding of thermal dissipation in power components
  • Experience working with high power voltage (4kW+) systems
  • Strong ability to analyze, document, and interpret test data to assess product acceptability
  • Experience with international regulatory and product safety standards is advantageous
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to proactively lead and collaborate with different teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
