Brunel has an exciting job opportunity for a Senior Buyer supporting our client who are a large global mining company.

This contractor role will work from home with site visits in north America.

What are you going to do

The daily tasks of a Senior Buyer are diverse and require multitasking, key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight responsibility for Purchasing, Expediting, and Logistics coordination of the assigned packages/requisitions/purchase orders.
  • Incorporating standard Procurement procedures and strategies in the procurement of goods for the project.
  • Managing the execution of all procurement activities of the assigned packages and works with EPC contractor(s) procurement team and cross functional departments to ensure plans, budgets, and schedules are being achieved.

Interacting with the Project Procurement Lead, Discipline Leads

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in SAP procure-to-pay modules.
  • 10+ years' experience in project procurement in construction and/or mining industries.
  • A bachelor's degree - Engineering (Civil and Mechanical preferred) or Business-related studies.
  • Knowledge and qualification in Project Management will be helpful.
