We're partnering with a Tier 1 mining client across multiple assets. This opportunity is ideal for a highly experienced Project Scheduler with a strong background in Primavera P6, project planning, and stakeholder coordination, who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.

What are you going to do 

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Project Scheduler to manage and maintain detailed project schedules across a dynamic portfolio of works. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with governance standards and project delivery timelines.

About the Role:

As a Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for the end-to-end scheduling of capital projects, ensuring timely updates, integration of changes, and coordination with multiple project teams. You will work closely with Project Managers and stakeholders across Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Shutdowns to drive efficiency and maintain schedule integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update Level 4 schedules for multiple capital projects using Primavera P6.
  • Monitor project progress, identify delays or risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Incorporate scope changes, resourcing updates, and interface activities while maintaining adherence to governance and reporting frameworks.
  • Coordinate across departments including Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Shutdowns to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.
  • Generate reports and dashboards using Power BI for clear visibility of project performance.
  • Use SAP and Excel to support planning, data analysis, and reporting tasks as required.
  • Maintain detailed and transparent records of changes, assumptions, and forecasting methodologies.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Previous experience as a Project Scheduler within the mining, resources, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Expert knowledge of Primavera P6, with demonstrated experience creating and maintaining Level 4 schedules.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth understanding of project lifecycle phases, stage gate processes, and capital project governance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic project environment.
