Responsibilities
Thought Leader External Engagement (TLEE) Planning & Execution:
- Serve as the local subject matter expert and change leader, enabling compliant and effective TLEE planning and execution.
- Act as the primary liaison between local Medical and Marketing teams, Global stakeholders to ensure alignment with the TLEE strategies and plans.
- Train and onboard users; manage stakeholder and user access; support data quality and governance; troubleshoot or escalate system issues as needed.
- Drive adoption of global TLEE processes locally, promoting new ways of working, and influencing stakeholders to maintain accurate, timely and compliant engagement plans.
Change Management, Communication & Adoption
- Develop and execute rollout plans, job aids and communications for new tools and processes.
- Collect feedback, conduct pulse checks and identify adoption gaps to inform continuous improvement.
- Partner with IT, Commercial, and other functions where processes and systems intersect.
Project Management and Operational Support
- Provide project management support across Medical Affairs initiatives, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are met.
- Support operational planning and execution for key Medical Affairs programs and priorities.
Digital Capabilities and Automation
- Lead the use of digital technologies to simplify, standardize and automate Medical Affairs operational processes, improving efficiency, visibility, and compliance.
SharePoint Enablement:
- Oversee the design, governance, and continuous improvement of Medical Affairs SharePoint sites.
- Ensure content is current, well structured, and accessible to support collaboration, document management, and streamlined workflows.
Process Automation (Power Automate)
- Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive Medical Affairs processes using Power Automate and related tools.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize automated workflows (i.e. Status Hub, etc.)
- Partner with Tech@Lilly to assess feasibility, implement solutions and resolve technical issues.
Data & Reporting Enablement:
- Lead the development and adoption of interactive dashboards and reporting solutions to enhance transparency, decision-making and performance tracking within Medical Affairs.
- Collaborate with Global teams to ensure Canadian metrics are accurately reflected in enterprise reporting tools.
- Train and support Medical Affairs colleagues in the effective use of digital and reporting tools.
Medical Affairs Grants, Research and Funding Governance:
- Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR) Coordinator:
- Manage Investigator-Initiated Research activities from concept through study close-out in accordance with global processes and systems.
- Partner with local and global medical stakeholders to support timely progression through review, approval, and execution.
- Communicate study status, scope changes, key decisions to Medical Affairs leadership and teams.
Medical Affairs Grants, Research and Funding Governance:
- Provide end-to-end coordination and governance across multiple Medical Affairs funding lanes (e.g. grants, journal clubs) ensuring compliant intake, review, decision documentation and payment execution.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and partnering with Ethics & Compliance and Legal as required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants, providing guidance on submissions, managing communications, and delivering timely status updates and final decisions.
Vendor and Purchase Order Management
- Provide operational support for the creation, tracking and reconciliation of Medical Affairs purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with financial and compliance requirements.
