Our client, an international leader in the oil and gas sector, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist in Instrumentation to support a major LNG project. This is a long-term contract position based in Milan, Italy, with potential future opportunities for rotational work in Mozambique. What are you going to do
- Expertise in Instrumentation: Demonstrated proficiency in instrumentation equipment, systems integration, and methodologies.
- Safety Standards: In-depth knowledge of international instrumentation safety systems standards, including ATEX / IECEx compliance.
- Standards and Codes: Strong knowledge of international standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, EN, NEMA MG1 & MG2, and ISO applicable to instrumentation and its environment.
- Maintenance Systems: Good understanding of SAP-based maintenance systems like CMMS.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in computer applications and related methods to support operational excellence.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Instrumentation, Electronic, or related Engineering disciplines.
- At least 20 years of maintenance experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries, including a minimum of 10 years in LNG production plants.
- Experience with controlling and maintaining specialized equipment including compressors, turbines, and natural gas processing systems.
