Introduction
We are recruiting a Head - Maintenance to join one of our leading multinational clients and their expanding team. This position is based in Ahmedabad and offers an excellent opportunity for experienced proposal management professionals in the Renewable Energy sector.
What are you going to do
Position: Head - Maintenance.
Contract: On Permanent Role.
- Overall responsibility for Maintenance activities across the Plant.
- Contribute towards creating and implementing the best manufacturing practice, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Ensure that Plant processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of costs, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function effectively.
- Take ownership of the Production and Maintenance policies, guidelines and any associated documents
- Initiate and develop creative and innovative manufacturing processes
- Lead, develop and implement variable cost & productivity programs across all areas of responsibility in the Plants.
- Develop and manage master production schedule and achieve the Daily/weekly/Monthly Production and Maintenance targets on a consistent basis.
- Plan and execute maintenance activity to ensure plant is kept safe and compliant
- Drive improvements in reliability for key aspects of machinery by best planned maintenance strategy
- Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
- Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
- Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
- Category: Bachelor's Degree, master’s degree.
- Experience: 10 years
- Field specialization: Engineering, Operations management and supervision
- Demonstrated Leadership skills in leading maintenance functions at a Plant level.
- Updated with the best practices and trends in the industry in the manufacturing function.
- Ability to lead, inspire and motivate the team as well as deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and deal with a large workforce at all levels.
- Self-motivated and able to work well under extreme pressures.
