Our client, a tier-one mining company, is seeking experienced Electricians to join their teams across the Pilbara. What are you going to do

As a High Voltage Electrician, you will be responsible for managing the HV power supply and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy mining equipment. Your duties will include:

  • Manage the HV power supply to the 9400E excavator in conjunction with the mining operation cable handling team
  • Apply technical knowledge of HV electrical infrastructure and switching programs to maintain safe and reliable operation
  • Collaborate with mining teams to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operation of the 9400E excavator
  • Monitor and maintain a strong understanding of HV distribution networks
  • Contribute to a values-driven, positive team culture, supporting world-class management of green fleet assets

As a Fixed Plant Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems on fixed plant equipment. Your duties will include:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems across fixed plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in industrial electrical systems
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures when conducting maintenance and repairs
  • Collaborate with operational and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and maintain production continuity
  • Assist in commissioning, testing, and calibration of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments, adhering to safe work practices

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Western Australia Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
  • Certificate IV in Instrumentation (required for Fixed Plant only)
  • HV Switching certificate (within 3 years required for High Voltage only)
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current CPR/ LVR certificate
  • Working at Heights (preferred)
  • Valid Drivers Licence (C class)
  • Demonstrated electrical experience working in ore processing facilities or HV heavy machinery
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to produce a National Police Clearance within six months
  • Ability to attend a pre-employment medical
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
