About the Role

Clarke Energy is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join its growing Victorian team.

This position is based in Victoria but involves regular travel across Australia on a rostered basis, supporting the installation, maintenance and servicing of power generation equipment at customer sites nationwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded technician who enjoys hands-on field work, fault finding and working with industry-leading power generation technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled and breakdown maintenance on gas and diesel-powered generators and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and undertake repairs to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
  • Work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure high service standards are maintained.
  • Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and best-practice maintenance initiatives.

We are specifically seeking candidates based in Victoria. This role will involve travel across Australia on a rostered basis to support customer sites and projects.

Essential skills and knowledge 

About You

  • Trade qualification in a mechanical discipline.
  • Experience working on large reciprocating engines, power generation equipment, heavy mobile plant or similar mechanical equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capability.
  • Safety-focused approach with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and travel nationally on a rostered basis.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
