Introduction

We are hiring a Field SSHE Coordinator to support a major Oil & Gas project. This role will oversee site safety programs, conduct inspections, manage incident reporting, and ensure compliance with HSE standards. The position is field-based, requiring strong experience in construction and operations, with the ability to promote a strong safety culture across teams.

What are you going to do

We are seeking an experienced Field and Safety Coordinator to join a major Oil & Gas project. This field-based role will support safety, security, health, and environmental programs across construction and operational activities. The Coordinator will ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as focal point for SSHE compliance at site level.

  • Implement and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Conduct field inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

  • Prepare and deliver toolbox talks and safety training sessions.

  • Track and report KPIs such as TRIR, near misses, and corrective actions.

  • Support emergency response drills and readiness.

  • Interface with project leadership, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field; or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE/SSHE within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial Construction.

  • Strong background in field safety (construction, brownfield, commissioning, or operations).

  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and applicable local/regional safety regulations.

  • Experience in incident reporting, investigations, and safety audits.

  • Effective communication skills with ability to engage diverse site teams.

  • Relevant certifications strongly preferred (OSHA 30, NEBOSH, CSP, CHST, First Aid/CPR, HAZWOPER).
