Introduction

Our client is a proudly Australian, family-owned business and the largest poultry producer owned and operated in Queensland. Established close to a century ago, the company now raises tens of millions chickens annually across its facilities throughout South-East Queensland.

What are you going to do 

Duties:

  • Oversee and coordinate all farm operations

  • Ensure the availability of appropriately trained personnel for specialised tasks such as vaccination, shed inspections, bird grading, and related activities.

  • Conduct serological monitoring and ensure all medications are administered accurately and in accordance with established protocols.

  • Manage farm administrative responsibilities in line with company guidelines, including the timely completion of required reports and documentation.

Essential skills and knowledge 

About You:

  • Proven experience in the poultry industry is essential.

  • Strong understanding of animal welfare standards, legislative requirements, and Health, Safety & Environment policies and procedures.

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

  • A collaborative team player with demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to supervise staff and delegate tasks to achieve departmental goals.

  • Committed to upholding and striving toward industry best practice standards.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
