The Digital Project Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining digital products that meet the needs of our internal customers and align with business objectives.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions, ensuring seamless user experiences, and driving innovation in product development.
Additionally, the role includes project management responsibilities such as planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks to ensure timely delivery of projects.
The Digital Project Engineer is also expected to manage project risks, communicate progress to stakeholders, and ensure projects stay within scope and budget.

Core Responsibilities
Develop and maintain digital products that enhance customer engagement and improve user experience.
Drive integrated timeline definition and continuous update, working with the fusion team to ensure that product and sprint backlog is up to date showing live status.
Manage vendor activities and relationship to promote a team environment and drive a high performing team culture.
Track, manage and report delivery cost per use case.
Support risk identification and mitigation while ensuring appropriate escalation.
Present delivery progress and outcomes to wider organisation and senior leadership, present various delivery metrics to stakeholders, such as status reports and burn down charts.
Support the refinement of the use case backlog throughout the development.
Support the Product Owner (PO) and development team to prioritize use case scope, backlog and activities effectively, showing adaptability.
Help to structure UC requirements and assists PO to develop them into relevant user stories and acceptance criteria.
Lead workshops and support business analyst to map as-is and to-be business processes.
Work with the PO to influence and challenge stakeholders’ perspectives to ensure a more valuable product and efficient delivery.
Ensure coordination with PO and wider business to initiate value tracking process expected for roll out of UCs.
Facilitate agile methodologies rituals, including daily stand-ups, refinement, release planning, sprint planning, capacity planning, estimation techniques, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Take responsibility for the backlog and maintain an overall view of the backlog tool.
Escalate obstacles to the Head of Delivery as necessary.
Support the PO and business to develop a product vision and roadmap
Participate and contribute with the other Digital Project Engineers to the development of the overall Digital Portfolio, by finding synergies across digital products and underlying technologies and platforms.
Contribute to the creation of Training and Roll-out materials.
Coordination and Collaboration
Ensure ad-hoc coordination between business, IS, and technological partners.
Enable the development team to work efficiently.
Apply an agile mindset and practices to ensure the team delivers value early and frequently.
Help others understand how the team works and how they should interact with it.
Facilitate various meetings, ensuring equal contribution from each team member.
Act as the team's motivator-leader and proactively recognize and help remove any obstacles.
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
Bachelor of Science degree
Specialization in engineering, data science, computer science, or information systems management is a plus.
Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) and ITIL certifications.
Project Management or Business Analysis certifications, or equivalent experience is a plus.
Minimum of 6 years relevant experience on Digital Product development with agile teams.
Proven track record of delivering successful digital products in the industry.
Experience in digital delivery and transformation in industrial setting, preferably within the O&G.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and DevOps Practices.
Design Thinking or UX/UI experiences and skills are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently.
Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with agile tools and software, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Fluent in English as a business language.
Experience on Projects using Industry Data Platforms (such as OSDU or Cognite Date Fusion) would be a plus.
