What are you going to do
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the commissioning strategy, schedule and procedures for all topsides, hull and subsea interfaces.
- Coordinate pre-commissioning, mechanical completion, testing, system turnovers and integrated system testing across discipline teams, contractors and client representatives.
- Lead the commissioning team (engineers, supervisors, specialists) and manage third-party contractors to deliver milestones.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and regulatory requirements; chair pre-commissioning safety reviews and permit-to-work processes.
- Resolve technical and interface issues, escalate risks, and drive troubleshooting and corrective actions to minimize delays.
- Control commissioning costs, report progress and maintain accurate status, punch lists and completion documentation for handover.
- Facilitate training, operations familiarisation and final acceptance testing with client/operations.
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
Qualifications & experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, Offshore or related engineering discipline.
- 10+ years' offshore commissioning experience, with minimum 5 years in a commissioning leadership role on FPSO or large offshore production projects.
- Strong knowledge of topsides systems (process, utilities, safety), hull systems, subsea interfaces and marine operations.
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with industry standards and HSE management for offshore projects.
