Local Impact Initiatives
Brunel Foundation
Improving our local communities
Brunellers all over the world take initiative to improve their local communities. These initiatives focus on a variety of different methods but always contribute to improving our planet or helping people.
All initiatives on this page were set-up by volunteer Brunellers across the globe in their own local communities.

Chasing Rainbows
Brunel China organised a day filled with games, exercise and learning for children with autism. They organised this event together with Rainbow Pen, a non-profit that supports the development and creative expression of children with autism.

Diving for Plastics
Brunel Qatar, in collaboration with Buhangin Divers, took the initiative to not just clean Sealine Beach in Doha, but to go below sea level to gather as much plastic as they could!

Avondale House
Team Brunel USA collaborated with a local non-profit, The Avondale House. The Avondale House provides a day school, adult program and residential group homes to children and adults with autism. The team got a chance to get their hands dirty by helping on tasks like painting, landscaping and a backyard cleanup to get the newest home move-in ready.

Beach Clean Up
Brunel Qatar is continuously launching and implementing new programs for a better planet. Brunellers teamed up with some of their clients to clean up one of Qatar's public beaches.

World of Work
Brunel Manchester partnered with Together Trust to offer work experience sessions for students at Inscape House School. This specialist school supports children and young people aged 5 to 19 years with autism and related social communication difficulties. Brunel employees guide and coach a group of students aged 16-19 towards applying for jobs and navigating the workforce.

Clean for green
Brunel Germany proves combining fun and doing good goes hand in hand! For their summer workshop, teams of Brunellers throughout Germany set out to rid their local environments of plastics and trash. Everyone loves a clean area!

Be heard and understood
During World Autism Week, Brunel Netherlands organised a week of conversations between Brunellers and people with autism. For people with autism, it is very important to be heard and understood. During this week, very open and honest conversations took place about autism and the search, finding and keeping of work.
