Introduction

Brunel is working with a well-regarded Tier 2 commercial builder to appoint a Project Manager for the delivery of a $17 million education facility in West Brisbane. The business has a strong presence across South East Queensland and a proven track record in delivering complex institutional and commercial projects.

About this role

This is a key leadership role overseeing the end-to-end delivery of a high-profile education project. You will be responsible for managing program, budget, subcontractor engagement and client communication, working closely with a Site Manager and supported by an experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project planning, procurement and financial management
  • Coordinate with site and contract teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Liaise with the client and consultants to maintain clear communication and positive relationships
  • Monitor program and cost performance, resolving issues as they arise
  • Ensure all work is delivered to the required quality, safety and compliance standards

Is this you?

  • Experience delivering commercial or institutional projects valued above $10 million
  • Has worked their way through the construction ranks to Project Manager and has held that role for at least the past three years
  • Background in either trades (Carpentry or similar) or degree-qualified in Construction Management
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and lead construction delivery
  • Strong commercial acumen and communication skills
  • Current QBCC Licence
