Introduction

Brunel is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Support Lead for a major power generation facility in Queensland. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring safe, efficient day-to-day operations and maintenance of the station and associated equipment.

About this role

  • Support the Station Manager and backfill during leave periods.
  • Lead weekly and monthly planning meetings.
  • Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot gas turbine operations.
  • Manage contractors and liaise with external stakeholders.
  • Drive HSSE compliance and risk management processes.
  • Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.
  • Oversee SAP functions, inventory, and procurement.

Is this you?

  • Experience in operating or maintaining gas turbines and auxiliary equipment in a leadership role.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver commercially sound outcomes.
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and CMMS platforms.
  • Electrical trade or industrial/generation experience (I&C qualification desirable).
  • Relevant licenses and certifications (e.g., CPR/LV Rescue, confined space, forklift).
