Introduction

On behalf of our client, a Leading Global service provider to the Oil & Gas industry sector, Brunel is presently recruiting an Asset Operations - Roving - Senior Engineer (Steam) working both onshore and offshore. This permanent position will be based in Darwin, NT, Australia working both onshore and offshore.

About this role

You will deliver Technical and advisory support to Operations & Maintenance Manager and Offshore Units in terms of steam turbines, boilers, condensate systems, feedwater systems and related equipment across a diverse fleet of offshore installations.

  • Provide specialist technical and maintenance support for steam turbines, gears, lube oil systems, condensate, feedwater and steam systems
  • Participate in roving visits and planned shutdowns across offshore assets
  • Lead major overhauls, inspections and preventive maintenance activities
  • Review, optimise and troubleshoot turbine performance and maintenance routines
  • Develop fleet-wide overhaul strategies and long-term maintenance plans
  • Assess and recommend improvements to parts usage, stock levels and reconditioning programs
  • Prepare detailed overhaul reports and provide ongoing feedback to technical leadership
  • Deliver training and coaching to Offshore Mechancial Teams and fellow Roving Engineers

Is this you?

  • Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive experience within the Oil & Gas industry or a similar heavy industrial environment
  • 'Hands on' experience with steam turbines and boilers ideally in offshore operations
  • Strong mechanical maintenance background including lube oil systems, gears, condensate, feedwater and steam systems
  • Proven leadership qualities with the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timeframes
  • Willingness to travel internationally and support offshore units during and outside normal working hours
