Introduction

Our client, a prominent international operator in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist (Rotating) to contribute to a significant LNG project. This long-term contract position, starting in July 2026, is based in Milan, Italy, with potential opportunities to transition to Mozambique on a rotational basis. This role involves working in a residential, office-based environment and focuses exclusively on LNG producing plants.

What are you going to do

Key Responsibilities

Lead root cause analyses and risk assessments for rotating equipment failures, providing engineering proposals to enhance reliability.
Provide technical expertise for maintenance operations, ensuring minimal cost while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Oversee and validate preventive maintenance plans and adjust frequencies for rotating equipment as necessary.
Supervise a team of rotating engineering specialists and set annual objectives for team members, ensuring timely reviews and appraisals.
Ensure the availability of spare parts and materials for maintenance activities while adhering to quality control standards.
Collaborate on technical work scopes, review contractor documentation, and ensure compliance with contracts, safety, and performance standards.
Promote improvements in equipment safety, production efficiency, and compliance.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor of higher education in Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering or equivalent with international standard and solid experience
Minimum 20 years specific maintenance experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry
Minimum 10 years in LNG producing plants, not LNG terminals
Experience of working with equipment such as Centrifugal compressors control and anti-surge systems, Turbines control and protection, Natural gas processing control and instrumentation, Analytical instruments, DCS, PLC utilization requirements, Loading arms instruments, FGS maintenance practice
