Job Title: Maintenance Engineering Specialist Electrical

Contract: 12 Month renewable

Location: Milan

Project: LNG

Perform all necessary Engineering Maintenance Electrical activities for conducting Maintenance efficiently and ensuring the technical integrity & required availability of equipment's.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to HSE and Company policies, Confidentiality, Compliance needs and Procedures.
  • Promote continuously safety culture inside Maintenance Department.
  • Work safely, avoid any incident and dangerous situation, contribute towards continual HSE improvement, demonstrate safety behaviour for himself and others.
  • Attend mandatory HSE trainings, refresher/expired trainings and apply them on site, ensure team and vendor compliance.
  • Support to maintain and continually improve ISO 14001 Environment Management System requirements and other management initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure safety of personnel, environment protection, and the technical integrity of equipment's in his domain of activities, implement HSE rules and follow procedures.
  • Occasionally participate in the near misses analyses, HAZOPs, technical reviews, risk assessment, safety audits, RCA, incidents and accidents analyses.
  • Review periodically the preventive Electrical maintenance plans and adjust frequencies and tasks.
  • Supervise and ensure the coherence of the scheduling of all Electrical work requests.
  • Prepare and update monthly reports on key performance indicators (preventive, corrective, performance, cost, budget follow up).
  • Provide necessary guidance and technical expertise to all Electrical maintenance operations to achieve maintenance of facilities at minimum cost.
  • Review documentation, procedures, safety manual and other related documents.
  • Produce new procedures as necessary, in line with Company Maintenance Policy.
  • Validate and approve maintenance procedures, ensure procedures are implemented.
  • Ensure quality control of execution during maintenance activities.
  • Provide Plant Maintenance and Reliability teams with advice & guidance in solving technical problems.
  • Ensure root cause analysis of failure is done where necessary, improve reliability and reduce the number of technical failures.
  • Ensure that adequate provision is made for the availability of spare parts and materials for all maintenance works. This includes the periodic review of stock, the identification and ordering of direct materials and the preparation of financial justification.
  • Coordinate contract site Electrical activities, ensure compliance with contract deliverables, quality, safety and performance.
  • Coordinate development of technical work scope of contracts, review documents, and give recommendations for contractors pre-qualification.
  • Supervise vendors for provision of specialist Electrical services, including participating in development of technical work scope of contracts.
  • Make sure backups of last versions are done and archived as per planning in safe place for all the Electrical control systems and packages.
  • Initiate and implement Electrical modification proposals through Management of Change system.

Essential skills and knowledge 

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent knowledge of Electrical equipment, systems integration and methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of International electrical safety systems standards (including ATEX / IECEx)
  • Excellent knowledge of international applicable codes & standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, EN, NEMA MG1 &2, ISO related to electrical machinery and environment)
  • Good knowledge of maintenance SAP (like CMMS).
  • Good Knowledge of computer applications and methods.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of higher education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent with international standard and solid experience

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years specific maintenance experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry
  • Minimum 7 years in LNG producing plants, not LNG terminals
  • Excellent knowledge of Variable Speed Drives, Gas Turbine Generator and Emergency Diesel Generator systems, transformers, protections, boards and drawers
