Introduction Our client is seeking a Mining Engineer - Long‑Term Planning to support the development of strategic mine plans and the optimization of long‑term resource extraction. Electrical Supervisor

Head of Loss Prevention Engineering

Provides clear guidance to the contractor and facilitates resolution of technical issues to complete loss prevention activities to meet project milestones. Leads the development of the Design Safety case and associated safety risk assessments aligned with LNG operations. This position is responsible to ensure all technical activities associated with loss prevention discipline by the contractor, and all third parties such as vendors, consultants, sub-contractors etc. are executed to Project's requirements. This could involve engineering assessments, including risk-based evaluation of complex issues, resolution of safety related matters with significant project execution and/or commercial impact to ensure optimum outcomes that meet technical and execution expectations. Major challenges for this role include (1) effectively guiding contractor, including 3rd party consultants, and vendors/subcontractor teams to produce timely deliverables. (2) maintaining constructive working relationships with contractors, including consultants and vendors to ensure delivery and execution of work scope in accordance with project specifications/requirements. (3) maintaining good relationships with stakeholders (e.g., Operations, engineering, system completions) to ensure alignment of loss prevention and risk assessment work execution Demonstrate personal SHES leadership and excellent SHES behaviours at all times. Perform as a safety leader through exhibiting the highest safety standards of behavior to the workforce. Actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions and site safety walkthroughs. Ensure loss prevention activities are conducted in accordance with local regulatory requirements, codes and standards, project specifications and industry practices. Ensure that Contractors / subcontractors are conducting engineering design in accordance with safety requirements, specifications, and local laws. Lead / drive contractor to timely conduct and deliver safety studies such as QRA, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, PHA, Safety Case, SHE studies etc. per execution plan. Ensure approved Loss Prevention recommendations and programs are utilized by the Project to improve safety in design and in construction and maintain high safety and risks standards.
