Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Field Safety Technician to join our team supporting a major LNG facility in Sabine Pass, TX. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment across all site operations. The ideal candidate is highly visible in the field, confident engaging with crews, and committed to reinforcing a strong safety culture.

Location: Sabine Pass, Texas Duration: Long-Term Contract (Multi-year LNG Project)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (5/40) Per Diem: Not Available -

What are you going to do

  • Provide active field support for all Safety, Security, Health & Environmental (SSH&E) programs.

  • Conduct safety walks, hazard identification, and start-work checks.

  • Coach and mentor employees and contractors to promote safe behaviors and best practices.

  • Support work permit management for activities such as elevated work, crane lifts, confined spaces, excavation, and LOTO.

  • Participate in incident investigations and assist with corrective actions.

  • Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and recognition programs.

  • Collaborate with site leadership to ensure continuous improvement of safety performance.

  • 5+ years of field experience in a Safety-related role within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.

  • Associate degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent professional experience.

  • OSHA 30 or OSHA 510 certification (required).

  • Strong knowledge of lifting & rigging, confined space entry, work-at-heights, and crane safety.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

  • Must hold a TWIC card and valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Prior LNG facility or major petrochemical project experience.

  • Military background or experience in highly structured, safety-focused environments.

  • Familiarity with emergency response operations (fire, police, EMT) is a plus.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, scaffolds, and elevated structures.

  • Frequent walking and standing across large industrial sites.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-temperature outdoor environment.

  • Must wear required PPE (FRCs, hard hat, safety glasses, boots, hearing protection, respirator as needed).

  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing per site requirements.
