Brunel is recruiting a Master Data Administrator to work with our major client in Houston, TX for initially 1 year contract.
The Master Data Administrator is responsible for maintaining accurate, consistent, and compliant vendor and customer master data within SAP. This role ensures that all information adheres to company policies and procedures, supporting the integrity of organizational data. The position interfaces with various management levels and plays a key role in data governance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the safety and security of the organization's network database, ensuring proper data integration and processing.
  • Adhere to and apply master data governance policies and procedures.
  • Review incoming data requests for completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain data quality control procedures.
  • Conduct regular data audits to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Apply understanding of risk management principles.
  • Assist with internal and external audit activities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, standardization, and rationalization of master data.
  • Ensure the accuracy and proper storage of tax and banking documentation.
  • Meet or exceed Service Level Agreements for processing vendor data requests.
  • Support vendor data cleansing initiatives.
  • Support Supply Chain and Finance-Accounts Payable with vendor setup and maintenance.
  • Support Finance-Accounts Payable, Commercial, and Settlements with customer setup and maintenance.
  • Resolve data-related problems and issues as they arise.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation and records in compliance with retention policies.
  • Update and maintain process guidelines and job-related procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs and control reports.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to prevent conflicts of interest.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline
  • 5 to 10 years of related experience in SAP vendor and/or customer master data maintenance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP vendor/customer master data
  • Strong ownership, independence, and accountability
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and management levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Punctuality, flexibility, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives
