Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently recruiting a Contracts Adviser - Corporate Services to independently manage low‑to‑medium risk contracts across the Corporate Services Contracting Category. This will be a 12 month contract located at their 'state of the art' Perth CBD premises.

What are you going to do

The role will involve delivering value‑accretive outcomes across the full contracting lifecycle, supporting stakeholders including Marketing, Trading & Shipping, Sustainability, Climate & Energy Policy, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Human Resources and Finance.

Pre-Award

  • Plan and execute sourcing activities for Corporate Services contracts, including developing sourcing plans, RFx documentation, tender evaluation and negotiation
  • Lead contract execution for standard engagements and ensure alignment with category strategy and supplier management principles

Post-Award

  • Lead contract operationalisation, handover and management of routine amendments, variations, extensions and claims
  • Monitor contract spend, supplier performance and compliance, facilitate issue resolution
  • Conduct contract close-out and capture lessons learned to inform future sourcing

Additional responsibilities

  • Identify and implement value‑enhancing, cost-saving, or process improvement opportunities
  • Provide commercial insights and market intelligence to support category strategies
  • Support audits, assurance activities and governance reviews
  • Conduct supplier due diligence, including Anti‑Bribery & Corruption and contractor assurance
  • Ensure compliance with contracting standards and maintain accurate contract records and reporting

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Supply Chain OR related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience managing contracts across the full lifecycle
  • Ability to operate independently within a governed and regulated environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and commercial capability
  • Attention to detail, organisational skills and proficiency in contract management systems
  • Ability to draft, review and manage contracting documentation
  • Demonstrated ethical conduct, accountablity and adapatablity
