We are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a major FPSO project during the engineering, procurement, construction, integration, commissioning, and sail-away phases. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling project schedules to ensure successful project delivery in accordance with established milestones, budgets, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update Level 1 to Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Project Management teams to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule risks, delays, and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including critical path analysis and schedule performance indicators.
  • Conduct schedule impact assessments for changes, variations, and recovery plans.
  • Support project forecasting, resource planning, and productivity analysis.
  • Develop and maintain project progress measurement systems and progress curves.
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings with project stakeholders, contractors, and management teams.
  • Coordinate planning activities across fabrication yards, module integration sites, vendors, and commissioning teams.
  • Monitor contractor schedules and verify progress against agreed baselines.
  • Perform critical path analysis, what-if simulations, and schedule optimization studies.
  • Support project controls functions including cost control, risk management, reporting, and change management activities.
  • Assist in preparing turnaround plans, commissioning schedules, and offshore execution plans.
  • Ensure compliance with project procedures, planning standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of planning and scheduling experience within Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, FPSO, LNG, FLNG, FSRU, Petrochemical, or EPC projects.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Planning Engineer position.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale EPC or offshore construction projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • Primavera P6
    • Microsoft Project
    • Excel and Power BI reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Project Controls
    • Progress Measurement
    • Critical Path Method (CPM)
    • Earned Value Management (EVM)
    • Risk Analysis and Recovery Planning
  • Experience supporting engineering, procurement, fabrication, integration, commissioning, and startup phases.
  • Ability to analyze complex project schedules and provide practical recommendations to management.
  • Experience working in shipyards, module fabrication yards, or offshore project environments.
  • Strong reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous FPSO, FLNG, LNG, Offshore Platform, or Marine construction project experience.
  • Experience supporting projects within Chinese fabrication yards.
  • Familiarity with project completion and commissioning planning.
  • Experience working with multinational EPC contractors and international project teams.
  • Knowledge of project control systems and reporting dashboards.

Project Assignment

The successful candidate will be embedded within the Tianjin project team, supporting all phases of project execution from detailed engineering through construction, integration, commissioning, and delivery. This role offers long-term involvement in a high-profile FPSO development with significant exposure to international project execution and multidisciplinary stakeholder management.
