Introduction

A well known Tier 2 piling company, based in Sydney, is currently in search of an experienced Project Manager.

As the Project Manager, your role will involve overseeing the seamless execution of piling projects across Sydney, ensuring their successful completion.

Collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams will be key to meeting project deliverables within budget, on schedule, and upholding the highest quality standards. We are seeking a proactive and results driven professional with a strong background in piling projects to join a dynamic team and be mentored from the best in the industry.

What are you going to do

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects from start to finish.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements, establish project goals, and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular reports to stakeholders, addressing any deviations from the project plan.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, forecasting, and financial tracking, ensuring optimal resource utilisation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to piling projects, incorporating relevant advancements into project strategies.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent site experience.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer within the piling sector, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • In depth knowledge of piling techniques, and related construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software for planning, scheduling, and monitoring projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce compliance on project sites.
  • Exceptional problem solving and decision making abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
