Introduction

We are seeking a Project Information Engineer (Information Management) to join a leading global engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) organisation operating at the forefront of the Oil & Gas sector. This role involves managing complex asset information and data flows across all EPC stages on large-scale projects.

Duration: 12-month renewable contract

What are you going to do

Responsibilities:

  • As Project Information Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire asset information lifecycle within large and complex EPC projects.
  • Your core duties include reviewing client information management requirements, preparing data specifications, and coordinating with system specialists to set up project databases and tools.
  • You will work closely with engineering, supply chain, completion, and quality teams to ensure data requirements are met and maintained consistently.
  • Monitoring data progress, interpreting compliance reports, and managing the handover of completed project information and documentation to clients will be key components of your role.
  • At project completion, you will assist in preparing close-out reports and recommending improvements to standards and methodologies.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Management, or Data Management.
  • Familiarity with data, information, and document management systems and tools.
  • Knowledge or work experience related to system engineering within large Oil & Gas EPC projects is advantageous.
  • Exposure to system engineering design applications and tools is a further advantage.
  • Strong competencies in compliance, analytics and reporting, digital tools, business acumen, data collection and entry, data management, data modelling and treatment, and project data analysis.
  • Proven ability to liaise effectively across multidisciplinary teams and manage complex data requirements.
