Introduction

As a Product Development Specialist, you develop the next generation of chilled dairy products for the European market. You translate consumer needs into innovative, great-tasting and nutritionally strong products that make it to the shelf. From concept to factory implementation, you play a key role in both innovation and product renovation.

What are you going to do

  • Lead and support the development and implementation of new dairy products, ensuring compliance with nutritional targets, claims, shelf life, cost price and sensory quality.
  • Execute renovation projects such as quality improvements, raw material optimizations, new specifications and recipe transfers between production sites.
  • Initiate, organize and perform product and application tests at lab, pilot and factory scale, including analysis, interpretation and reporting of results.
  • Perform high-level data analysis to support nutrition frameworks and cost-saving programs, and present findings to internal stakeholders.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • A Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Processing, Dairy Technology, Physical Chemistry or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in product development within the food industry, preferably in fermented dairy.
  • Strong data analysis skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with PowerBI or similar tools.
  • Experience with product testing at different scales (lab, pilot and factory).
  • Willingness to travel to production locations in the Netherlands and/or Belgium.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is considered an advantage.

  • A salary up to € 4600,-
  • At least 2 years of experience in product development within the food industry, preferably in fermented dairy.
  • Strong data analysis skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with PowerBI or similar tools.
  • Experience with product testing at different scales (lab, pilot and factory).
  • Willingness to travel to production locations in the Netherlands and/or Belgium.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is considered an advantage.
