Introduction

As a Process Owner PCBA, you are responsible for the technical vision, performance, and continuous improvement of advanced SMT and THT manufacturing processes. You take ownership of the complete PCBA production environment and play a critical role in scaling and optimizing high-tech manufacturing operations.

What are you going to do

In this position, you will lead the technical development and optimization of PCBA manufacturing processes within a modern, highly automated production environment. You are responsible for safeguarding process quality, stability, and scalability while continuously improving operational performance. You work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Project Teams, Engineering, and Operations to industrialize new products and elevate production capabilities to the next level.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical owner of SMT and THT PCBA manufacturing processes.
  • Define and maintain the long-term technical roadmap for the department.
  • Safeguard process standards related to quality, efficiency, stability, and scalability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, yield, and process optimization.
  • Support and coach Manufacturing Engineers on technical and industrialization topics.
  • Define standards for machine programming, process preparation, and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Analyze structural process issues and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Project Teams on successful new product introductions.
  • Ensure process standardization, knowledge retention, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor developments within PCBA technology and translate innovations into manufacturing improvements.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Several years of experience within SMT/THT PCBA manufacturing environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of PCBs, electronic components, and soldering processes.
  • Experience with industrialization, process development, and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with machine programming and modern SMT production lines.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
